Rebuilding History
Winner of NARI COTY Award for Best Historical Renovation/Restoration
This home was originally built in 1811 and had a partially unfinished wing that bridged the home to the original barn, which was at one time the town of Duxbury’s first fire station. The wing was the home’s original “summer kitchen” and now housed the client’s main kitchen, laundry and unfinished storage but was in ill repair and lacked modern functionality.
The wing was torn down & rebuilt in the same location while giving special attention to salvaging and reproducing specific architectural details and finishes. The renovation included expanding and remodeling the master bedroom, master bath, kitchen and creating a separate laundry room.
